"While returning from delivering medicines to a hospital in Galle, where over 800 people died, I spotted this man sitting with his cat in the middle of what used to be his house - now nothing left but the slab and the kitchen sink on the right. His dog and his cat were washed away by the tsunami - but they survived and found their way home! He graciously accepted our last tin of powdered milk for the neighbor's children and some dog food we had with us for the animals in distress. Animal People News."
