For a correction to be successful, it has to be aversive enough for the dog to want to avoid that correction in the future. DIFFERENT DOGS RESPOND TO DIFFERENT CORRECTIONS- ONE CORRECTION CAN BE EFFECTIVE FOR A DOG, AND AT THE SAME TIME BE COMPLETELY INEFFECTIVE FOR ANOTHER.
